Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical in McKinney, TX

McKinney sits right on the Blackland Prairie, and the expansive clay soil under this part of Collin County moves with the seasons. It swells when the ground is wet and shrinks when it dries out, and that shift puts steady pressure on the pipes running beneath your slab. Homeowners in the older neighborhoods around the courthouse square deal with it, and so do families in the newer subdivisions and out toward Craig Ranch. That constant ground movement is one reason slab leaks and shifting connections are so common here.

That is where we come in. Bacon Plumbing Heating Air Electric has served McKinney and the wider Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex since 2011, when Brad Bacon started the company as a family-owned business in nearby Rockwall. You can reach us at (469) 455-1521, and a real person will answer. We are licensed and insured, and our technicians are GPS-tracked so you get accurate arrival windows instead of a vague all-day wait.

Electrical and Generator Work

Spring in North Texas brings severe thunderstorms, hail, and tornado risk, and the February 2021 winter storm reminded everyone here how quickly the grid can fail. A power surge or an extended outage is not just an inconvenience when the temperature drops or climbs past 100 degrees. Our electricians handle the everyday work and the emergency calls, and they can talk you through backup power options for your home.

Here is what our electrical team covers:

And our electrical panel installations carry a lifetime warranty, no membership required.

Cooling and Heating

McKinney summers are long and hot, with humid subtropical air pushing temperatures past 90 and often past 100 degrees. Your air conditioner runs hard for months, and when it quits, it usually quits at the worst possible time. Our NATE-certified technicians work on the brands you likely already own, including Amana, Lennox, Trane, and Rheem, and most HVAC systems we install carry a 10-year parts and labor warranty.

Our cooling services include:

Winters here are generally mild, but occasional freezes hit hard, and a heater that will not start on a cold morning is a real problem. Our heating services cover:

We also handle indoor air quality, which matters when your system runs nearly year-round:

Plumbing, Drains, and Septic

That expansive clay soil is why plumbing deserves attention in McKinney. Slab leaks show up when shifting ground stresses the lines under your foundation. And North Texas municipal water is hard, with a high mineral content that builds up inside pipes and shortens the life of a water heater. Our plumbers address all of it.

Plumbing services we provide:

For drains and sewer lines, we offer:

Toward the outer, more rural edges of the city, septic systems are still common, and we service those as well. Our full sewer re-pipe work is backed by a 25-year warranty, and water heaters carry six to twelve year coverage depending on the unit.
