I had never had a problem like a busted water pipe in my front yard bubbling water from the main city line into the street until I woke up to it on a Sunday morning.
After calling around to get the city to shut their water off, I knew I was going to have to call a plumber to come fix the pipe, which made me nervous. I have met many trade workers who don’t seem to enjoy what they do or lack personal skills—but even then, as long as the job is done right, that’s what really counts to me when it’s all over with.
This was the first time I ever called Bacon (the customer service rep was very friendly and helpful; she was top-notch), and Quentin McKeehan is one of the first people I’ve ever had come to work on my house that perfectly combined people skills with craftsmanship. From the minute he pulled up to my house and greeted me, he gave me confidence in his work before he even pulled out a tool simply by his demeanor and professionalism. I could have stood out there and shot the breeze with him the whole job if I wasn’t worried about slowing him down, and he wouldn’t have minded a bit.
Coming to fix a busted pipe on a Sunday afternoon at peak heat time would have been a drag for anyone, but you wouldn’t have known that with Quentin. He small-talked, joked, and was supremely polite and respectful. Not to mention the extra time he took to explain what happened to my pipes and how naturally he took to fixing them. Guy is a pro.
I would have given him a beer when he was done if it was allowed, a real testament to a job well done. This review will have to do instead.
Quentin, great work, man. Of course, I still don’t look forward to having to call a plumber again, but if/when I need to, I’ll call Bacon.

Blake, my plumber from Bacon Plumbing, was incredibly professional and didn’t try to sell me unnecessary products. Everything was explained precisely, and I thought he was just coming to give me an estimate. After he provided the estimate, I agreed to proceed and asked how soon he could complete the work. To my surprise, he offered to do it today! Since I live in East Texas, there aren’t many supply houses nearby. He drove an hour to the nearest supply house and back to install a new water line from my meter to my home and an outside spigot. He did an excellent job. Thank you, Blake!

Cooper did a great job replacing the shutoff valve on our incoming water pipe. The original job by the builder’s plumber was shoddy work. Cooper installed the new valve correctly, got it up out of the water and mud, put down pea gravel, and insulated the pipe. Very professional and courteous!

I appreciated the very thorough discussion I had with Jorge when he came to evaluate my situation (a leak in the main water line between the water meter and my house). As he went through the process of determining that there was a leak and how he would be able to pinpoint the exact place where the leak was and how he would fix it, I was reassured that he was very knowledgeable and forthright. The next day he was here early to determine where the pipe was buried in the yard and dug up the homeowner shut-off valve that I didn't even know I had. Later, he joined his two-man crew to finish the work of exposing a portion of the pipe so they could pull a new pipe underneath my driveway. They encountered a coupling in the old pipe which could have cost me much more money to deal with but eventually tunneled a few feet under the driveway and cut the coupling out. This enabled them to pull a new pipe and stick to the original cost estimate! Brad and his apprentice Clay were super friendly and answered all my questions about what they were doing as they completed the fix. I would highly recommend these men to anyone who has a plumbing problem!
