I had never had a problem like a busted water pipe in my front yard bubbling water from the main city line into the street until I woke up to it on a Sunday morning. After calling around to get the city to shut their water off, I knew I was going to have to call a plumber to come fix the pipe, which made me nervous. I have met many trade workers who don’t seem to enjoy what they do or lack personal skills—but even then, as long as the job is done right, that’s what really counts to me when it’s all over with. This was the first time I ever called Bacon (the customer service rep was very friendly and helpful; she was top-notch), and Quentin McKeehan is one of the first people I’ve ever had come to work on my house that perfectly combined people skills with craftsmanship. From the minute he pulled up to my house and greeted me, he gave me confidence in his work before he even pulled out a tool simply by his demeanor and professionalism. I could have stood out there and shot the breeze with him the whole job if I wasn’t worried about slowing him down, and he wouldn’t have minded a bit. Coming to fix a busted pipe on a Sunday afternoon at peak heat time would have been a drag for anyone, but you wouldn’t have known that with Quentin. He small-talked, joked, and was supremely polite and respectful. Not to mention the extra time he took to explain what happened to my pipes and how naturally he took to fixing them. Guy is a pro. I would have given him a beer when he was done if it was allowed, a real testament to a job well done. This review will have to do instead. Quentin, great work, man. Of course, I still don’t look forward to having to call a plumber again, but if/when I need to, I’ll call Bacon.

Blake, my plumber from Bacon Plumbing, was incredibly professional and didn’t try to sell me unnecessary products. Everything was explained precisely, and I thought he was just coming to give me an estimate. After he provided the estimate, I agreed to proceed and asked how soon he could complete the work. To my surprise, he offered to do it today! Since I live in East Texas, there aren’t many supply houses nearby. He drove an hour to the nearest supply house and back to install a new water line from my meter to my home and an outside spigot. He did an excellent job. Thank you, Blake!
